There was a 4-car accident just before the Swiss border. The tailback went all the way back to the toll (about 10 km). Thing is, it will only get worse once the snow arrives, so yep I'm glad I've taken the plunge!
I don't tend to plan much beyond the next trip to be honest. And I tend to be attracted to places that are VERY different so Asia seems to be in the firing line right now. Oh and I contacted my old Tour Manager from St. Lucia and she was VERY helpful so who knows where I will end up in the future.
I hope you had a good book with you! I just couldn't face a commute like that and glad you won't be for much longer. I had an 8 min. car ride one way though I usually rode my bike which took just under 20 minutes. No complaints.
Sometimes, if we listen, the universe speaks loudly to us. Glad any doubts have been sent scurrying.
